I, like many of you, am currently counting down the days until the release of Mass Effect 3 on March 9th. It will bring to an end the epic saga which many of us began back in 2008. It will mark the climax of Commander Shepard’s galaxy wide quest to save civilisation from the Reapers, a race of sentient machines, seemingly ageless, hell-bent on ridding the galaxy of life itself. It is a shame that you probably haven’t played Resistance 3. For one it is only a PS3 exclusive, but thanks to lacklustre advertising and oversaturation of gaming titles in the latter half of 2011 the cream of the Resistance series will go largely unnoticed. Having sold only 180,000 units so the figures are poor when you consider the previous games sold twice that in the same period.
