The new series that recently began streaming on Netflix is adapted from a book and already has raving reviews despite only being aired on March 31st<\/sup>. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

1. Enlightening <\/h4>\n

It should be taught in secondary schools around the world as it teaches teenagers a valuable lesson about bullying. Especially in the season finale but I won\u2019t spoil it!<\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

2. Original <\/h4>\n

In my opinion, I haven\u2019t watched a series like this yet- it\u2019s an extremely basic idea portrayed in an original and creative way. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

3. It\u2019s woke af <\/h4>\n

At times it was extremely difficult to watch, especially the episodes surrounding Jessica\u2019s party, but it\u2019s a harsh reality of what happens in teen\u2019s drinking cultures today.<\/p>\n

<\/br> <\/p>\n

4. Amazing cast <\/h4>\n

I mean Dylan Minnette\u2019s journey and progress during the series is truly emotional but so interesting to watch. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

5. Alternative <\/h4>\n

It\u2019s rare that a TV series isn\u2019t targeted at a mainstream audience. It\u2019s use of Indie music and unique characters such as Skye, make it relatable to a more alternative audience. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

6. Complex Characters <\/h4>\n

The characters are not just one-sided. There are many facets to all of them- one second you hate them, then you could feel sorry for them. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

7. A voice to those that are silenced <\/h4>\n

This is extremely important in today\u2019s society. Even though Hannah is gone, she is demanding that her voice is heard even though she was too afraid to speak when she was alive. Although it\u2019s unfortunate it was too late for her to be saved, it\u2019s important that she was represented in the series so people can know they\u2019re not the only ones who feel lonely sometimes. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

8. Controversial Topics <\/h4>\n

Rape, Bullying, Sexuality, Anxiety, Depression, Suicide – there\u2019s finally a programme that deals with hard topics that are difficult to discuss but are important to be represented. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

9. Relatable <\/h4>\n

There are so many factors in this series that make it relatable like dealing with rumours and relationships, making it an interesting watch. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

10. Love <\/h4>\n

The way Clay cares for Hannah can be hard to watch at times because for those of you who have already watched it, it was a bitter-sweet love. <\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

11. It brought amazing quotes like<\/h4>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

12. …and <\/h4>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

13. You won\u2019t want to stop watching <\/h4>\n

Heart-wrenching and warming, difficult to watch but you don\u2019t want to look away. It\u2019s simply unlike any other series.<\/p>\n
