Why did you decide to run? <\/strong><\/p>\n

I was a campaign manager last year for a presidential candidate and through this experience, I saw the ins and outs of the job and I thought, “I can do that job.” It was mainly the fear of regret that really pushed me over the line to do it.<\/p>\n

What club or society are you involved in? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Rowing Club.<\/p>\n

What are some things you think the SU have done successfully? <\/strong><\/p>\n

I think the support they provide is great- students can pop in and get the help they need. However, I feel there is a stereotype that the SU is only a place for people involved in clubs or socs. That isn\u2019t the case obviously, the SU is an environment for any student.<\/p>\n

Why is this job right for you at this point in time?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I came to college as plain old Ciara- now I\u2019m Ciara Jo. I\u2019ve grown into who I am because of my experience here in Ul. I\u2019ve had ups, down and everything in between and after these 4 years I feel I can use my experience to help connect with people and offer help to them.<\/p>\n

Why do you think you\u2019re the best candidate for the job? <\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m bubbly, approachable, stubborn but I\u2019m passionate and compassionate. I feel like students will be able to relate to me. I will go into meetings and fight for students. I\u2019m not here to run a campaign jus to go viral, I\u2019m running a campaign around the things that I can achieve for the students.<\/p>\n

Why did you choose \u00a0this position? <\/strong>I want more student engagement with the president and I feel like I\u2019ve the leadership qualities that make up a good president.<\/p>\n

What animal would they be if they had to pick?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Horse.<\/p>\n

What other animal would you change the UL wolf to if we couldn\u2019t have\u00a0Wolfie\u00a0anymore? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Jaguar.<\/p>\n

What type of friend are you in your friend group?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The crazy mom but I make sure everyone gets home safe.<\/p>\n

Favourite childhood tv show? <\/strong>Easy answer; Rugrats.<\/p>\n
