The University Concert Hall (UCH) have announced their slate of films for the upcoming Winter season.<\/p>\n

The screenings kick off on Monday, September 23rd with a screening of the timeless Grease.<\/p>\n

The 1978 musical made household names of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, and the songs from the soundtrack have becoming ingrained into the public consciousness, like any good musical.<\/p>\n

After a month break, it get’s spooky at UL, with a screening of Guillermo Del Toro’s 2006 masterpiece, Pan’s Labyrinth.<\/p>\n

The screening takes place on Monday, October 21st.<\/p>\n

Often called the greatest foreign language film of the 21st century, Pan’s Labyrinth was designed to be seen on a big screen, and is the Mexican auteur’s finest hour.<\/p>\n

The spooky theme continues into November, with a screening of the seminal 1984 comedy Ghostbusters.<\/p>\n

Catch the classic Bill Murray-starring comedy on Sunday, November 3rd.<\/p>\n

November 18th sees a screening of what is perhaps the Coen Brothers best film, Fargo.<\/p>\n

The 1996 classic took home two Oscars in Original Screenplay for it’s writer-director duo Joel and Ethan, and Best Actress for it’s leading lady Frances McDormand<\/p>\n

November 24th is a month before Christmas, and what better film to get into the festive season than Home Alone?<\/p>\n

The 1990 classic has endured like no other Christmas film, with the possible exception of It’s A Wonderful Life.<\/p>\n

The Chris Columbus-directed film is a great watch any time of the year, but none better than from late November onwards.<\/p>\n
