Aisling Moloney, from Dungarven, County Waterford, has been announced as the latest addition to the news2day team.<\/p>\n
The television news programme, aimed at children, airs on RT\u00c9 2 and RT\u00c9 News Now, and is enjoying is 16th season, after debuting in 2003.<\/p>\n
Aisling studied journalism and new media at\u00a0University of Limerick.<\/p>\n
During her time at the University of Limerick, she <\/span>worked for\u00a0The Daily Mail\u00a0<\/i>newspaper in London, and also studied at an Australian university, where she had the opportunity to travel all over Western Australia<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
After finishing her degree, Aisling worked with Limerick’s\u00a0Live 95FM<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0The Sunday Business Post.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Following a call out to media and journalism graduates across\u00a0the country, and\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0comprehensive\u00a0audition process,\u00a0Aisling<\/span>\u00a0was chosen to join\u00a0the team and\u00a0began\u00a0broadcasting\u00a0live this week on RT\u00c92 and RT\u00c9 News Now.<\/p>\n
She joins current\u00a0news2day<\/i> presenter Cillian Sherlock, from Claremorris, Co.Mayo, who is also a graduate from UL’s Journalism and New Media course.<\/p>\n
