Podcasts are so hot right now.

People listen to podcasts on their commute to college, at the gym, out running or walking, or studying.

Here are some of my favourite podcasts available to listen to on YouTube or to stream on Spotify or the ‘Podcast’ app on your Apple devices.

The Joe Rogan Experience
If you have any interest in Podcasting already, you will have heard of the Joe Rogan Experience.

Rogan is a UFC commentator, stand-up comedian, and a former mixed martial artist.

Rogan is seen as ‘the King of Podcasts.’ The Joe Rogan Experience’s (JRE) first episode was streamed on Christmas Eve of 2009 and has reached 1,259 episodes (as of 6 March 2019).

The JRE is live-streamed on the YouTube channel “PowerfulJRE.”

The Joe Rogan Experience has had some diverse guests over the years.

The likes of Elon Musk, Mike Tyson and Louis Theroux have all sat across from Rogan discussing a range of topics such as why Tyson doesn’t work out anymore and Elon Musk’s opinion on Artificial Intelligence, while more than likely spouting something weird about sensory deprivation tanks.

The True Geordie Podcast

The True Geordie Podcast first aired in September 2016, when Geordie (Brian) and the co-host and best pal Laurence McKenna getting the ball rolling.

Geordie is from Newcastle and is a massive Newcastle United fan.

He is a YouTuber with over 1 million YouTube subscribers who shot to fame thanks to a rant video about a Newcastle player at the time, Nile Ranger, who was a guest on episode 104.

Since episode one, The True Geordie Podcast has amassed 109 episodes, with actor and stand-up comedian Ricky Gervais being the most recent guest at time of writing.

Since taking up podcasting, Geordie has interviewed people he has admired throughout his life such as Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer, singer Robbie Williams and ‘The World’s Strongest Man’ Eddie Hall.

I would highly recommend everyone to listen to episode 22, with special guest Nick Yarris.

Yarris is an American writer and public speaker who served 22 years on death row for a crime he didn’t commit.

If you wish to find out how Nick managed to get justice, listen to his podcast with The True Geordie or with Joe Rogan on aforementioned  Joe Rogan Experience.

The H3 Podcast
Launched in 2016, the podcast is co-hosted by husband and wife, Ethan and Hila Klein.

Ethan and Hila upload their podcasts on the H3 Podcast YouTube channel.

Although most episodes feature a special guest, some episodes, called “Top of the Week” (originally “Top of the Month”) before the podcast switched to a bi-weekly format.

Some of their most famous guests include Post Malone, Logic and actor Jack Black.

Logic’s episode in particular is extremely interesting because he spoke about his life and how the difficulties he has faced has translated into creating his music.
